THE BRIEF
As the in-house designer for KAUST‘s Fundraising Department, I was asked to create a series of brochures that would get potential donors excited about the cutting-edge research at KAUST, and to encourage them to make donations towards the establishment of prestigious Research Chairs that would further these research areas.
THE SOLUTION
I met with and interviewed several of the qualifying professors, and conceptualised a visual identity for this set of 11 brochures that would distinguish them from the university’s other marketing materials, while remaining consistent with the university’s branding.
As the professors’ proposals were often technical and jargon-heavy, and the target audience would likely include executives from the corporate sector with non-scientific backgrounds, I sourced colourful stock images to balance the copy and to create visual interest.
The brochures helped secure funding for several of the research programmes.
