I have a Pricing page where I list all my design packages with comparison tables. I also offer à la carte design services, so if you don’t see what you are looking for, tell me about your project and I will gladly put together a personalised proposal for you.
When a client requests a design project, the instructions given to the designer is called a brief. It usually contains the specs (digital or print format, size, printed sides, etc.), and should also include the desired results of the design project. It allows the client and designer to make sure they fully understand what needs to be achieved, and it also acts as a point of reference for everyone involved.
Projects that have a detailed brief from the start, require fewer revisions, and are therefore far more likely to be completed on time, and on budget.
SSL Certificates (HTTPS) are optional for most sites, but essential for e-Commerce sites.
WHY I RECOMMEND YOU CONSIDER THIS:
The company that provides the SSL Certificate validates your business and your identity before they issue the certificate to you. The certificate ensures that your customers can be confident that you have a legitimate business.
It also enables your server to set up an encrypted connection between your website and your customers’ browsers, so that their billing and shipping details cannot be intercepted in the clear by a third party. Google also prioritises sites with HTTPS, so this should have a positive effect on your rankings as an added bonus.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SET THIS UP:
• a dedicated IP address from your web hosting company
• confirmation from your web hosting company that your server is correctly configured for SSL
• an SSL Certificate with extended validation from a reputable company
My focus is always on current clients, and I try not to work on more than two projects at a time to ensure that each client gets the attention they deserve. I tend to book out in advance, so get in touch to reserve your place in the queue, and to make sure the time allowed is realistic so we don’t have to compromise on quality.
Unfortunately not. However, if you are unsure about working with me, do have a look at my portfolio to see some examples of my work, and if you would like to see some references I can provide those as well.
The content is all the text (headings, body copy, links, personal profiles and contact details) and images (photos, diagrams, logos etc.) that need to go into the design, as well as the keywords (the search terms you want to be found for) that need to go into the underlying code.
It is important to finalise as much of the content before the design process begins as possible, as the layout and design is guided by the content. Changing the content late in the design process can impact on the project timeline as well as budget.
I offer print management services for lithographic and letterpress projects for a handling fee.
For digital projects I can recommend several excellent Cape Town-based printing companies I have worked with. I am also happy to offer moneysaving advice where I can, and I will always give you artwork that is correctly set up (with detailed printing instructions for complicated jobs), so you can work with the printer of your choice.
The digital age is upon us! I have many clients that I have never met in person, and we do business over the phone or video chat, and email. Meeting face-to-face is great and I love it, but these other communication tools can be just as effective and are more carbon-friendly.
